Barney has been adopted by Jesus. Barney passed away in peace and happiness with his long term foster family. In these past five months while in Adopt-A-Bull's care, he was loved and spoiled every minute of every day. When Barney came to us, he was in terrible shape; anemic, positive for ehrlichia, and late stages of kidney disease. Although you would never guess he was ill because of his tenacious spirit and wonderful personality, his terminal kidney failure has finally taken its toll. Barney was quite a lover and a character. He made us laugh with his silly antics and strong will. He will be missed dearly. Rest in peace, Barney baby, we love you.

A message from Barney's foster mom:

"I just wanted to thank everyone who has viewed Barney's Blog and enjoyed hearing and viewing about his Journey. He was truly a great dog and companion. Although he was with us for a few months we felt we had him since he was a pup. His last couple of weeks some of his favorite things to do was take a dip in the pool with us and he just loved barking at a creepy crawler we had at the bottom of the pool. What I will miss the most about him was the joy he brought to our home and most of all when we would walk in the house and he'd be waiting for us, because he didn't have a tail he just had a little stomp he would wag his little butt to show us how happy he was to see us. At first we said we don't want to foster because we don't want to experience that kind of lost again but in Barney's honor I know he wants us to offer another dog the same opportunity that was offered to him. So Erica is on a hunt for our next bully. Thank you all for your support it meant a lot to my husband and I."

Barney does the Hollywood pose, chin to shoulder. He adds his own special touch with the ear up. Ja! Take that Hollywood. Or shall we say BARNEYWOOD.

This is my favorite signature look that he does, he also rests his chin on my knee and look up at me like this. I love it! This seems to be his favorite spot on my porch looking out at the water.

This is where we find Barney every morning, up on our furniture. OOOOHH I so so comfortable!

When I'm watching T.V. Barney always comes over to me and places his chin on my knee. He is so lovable.
