Butchie's BBQ Blast!
Posted January 15, 2008 10:21 am
Over the weekend, Butchie rang in the new year with his bully friends at Adopt-A-Bull's Bully BBQ Celebration! He was the slowest bullie there, but he got to socialize with the crew & meet new friends! What a happy boy.
Please keep Butchie in your prayers, today he will be seeing an orthopedic specialist so we can figure out why he walks with a slight limp.
Butchie loves his new foster home!

It's a very quiet & relaxed environment, perfect for Butchie's very laid back personality. He's doing great!

It's the "One toofie Crew!"
(For those not familiar with "bullie lingo," toofie = tooth) Notice how each boy in the pic above has one hanging out?
No toofie Butchie, 1 toofie Ceasar, Bof toofies Brutis.....lol :)
Happy Butchie Boy!

"Butchie Boy" would do well in an environment that is not too busy - he's a very mellow boy and craves attention due to his past history of being neglected. He does not care for other dogs, he basically just ignores them. His first foster mommy told me that Butchie would probably fit right in with mellow, laid back family. He is a couch potato, and is not very active at all. He goes for walks, but not too far. He can go up stairs, but doesn't really like to. He's about 3 or 4, just got neutered last week, weighs 60 pounds. Butchie does not require eye drops, ear drops, or medications...nothing. He's just looking for a warm couch to snuggle up on, he's had a hard life so far.
Butchie has reached his final destination...

... and is with me now in S. FL.!!!Thanks to some awesome BDW transport volunteers and my new friends, Maryann & Lisa - we absolutely could not have pulled this off without you! Thanks also to Cricket, Alan & Jason for helping with the transport. Maryann, I know Butchie has a special place and fondness in his heart for you, you are a 'bullie angel' of a foster mom and did an excellent job pulling him from the shelter, caring for him, opening your home (and heart) for him, and the hours of transport you put in are appreciated more than words can express. This boy came all the way from a shelter in South Carolina to his new (temporary rescue) home in Broward County, FL and for that he (and I) are most thankfull. Another bullie life has been spared thanks to some very kind strangers all meeting on the internet - isn't it awesome how things work out sometimes? Butchie is sound asleep as I type this, tired from his very eventful day...bouncing from car to car. In his future..... a forever home....bouncing no more.
